TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

Cart Path & Course Works
All NEW cart path and course works are to be treated as GUR.  A player whose ball comes to rest in, or whose stance is impeded by, new cart path or new course works MUST take relief in accordance with Rule 16.
Cores
Through the green, all areas of corings should be treated as GUR. A player whose ball comes to rest in, or whose stance is impeded by corings may take relief in accordance with Rule 16.
Preferred Lies
Through the green a player may lift and clean the ball without penalty.  Before lifting the ball the player must first mark its position and place within a hand span.  Once the ball has been placed and comes to rest it is deemed to be in play and must not be replaced. If a ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed, and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies, unless the provisions of any other rule apply.
Scoring (Refer Rule 3.3b)*
Players may enter their own hole scores on the scorecard (it is not necessary for a marker to do it).  Players must nominate their designated marker on their scorecard.  Each player must keep their designated marker’s score in the appropriate “marker” area of their score card.  It is not necessary to have a designated marker physically certify the player’s hole scores, but some form of verbal certification from the designated marker should take place.
Preferred Lies in Bunkers*
In a bunker a player may lift and clean the ball without penalty.  Before lifting the ball the player must first mark its position and place within a hand span no nearer the hole.  Once the ball has been placed and comes to rest it is deemed to be in play and must not be replaced. If a ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed, and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies, unless the provisions of any other rule apply.  The ball must remain in the bunker when taking a preferred lie.
Flagsticks*
Flagsticks must not be touched or removed under any circumstances.  Hole cups have been modified to allow balls to be extracted without touching the sides.

* LOCAL RULES IMPLEMENTED IN RESPONSE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS & SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS
