Local Rules
  • TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES Updated 10th March 2008

  • Supplementary Local Rules to be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf

  • Bunkers - A water scoured area in any bunker may be treated as GUR. Relief may be taken under Rule 25-1b(ii)

  • Ground Under Repair Newly scarified & seeded areas are GUR relief may be taken at the nearest point of relief.

  • Any area affected by wheel ruts and or transport vehicles is GUR. Relief may be taken at the nearest point of relief Ball to be dropped within one club length of that point. After the ball has been dropped, it is in play.

  • Drainage Works - Drainage works on fairways are to be treated as GUR a ball lying within the area may without penalty, be lifted, cleaned and dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief, but not nearer the hole. After the ball has been dropped, it is in play.

  • Bird Diggings.

    A ball lying in an area affected by bird diggings, through the green, may without penalty, be move or may be lifted cleaned and dropped and the nearest point of relief but not nearer the hole.

  • Distance-Measuring Devices.

    For all play at this course, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.
